Millennium Micro for Macro 2008
A grassroots effort to strategically fund programs currently
making great strides towards the Millennium Development Goals
Eight Years in Towards the 2015 Millennium Development Goals (MDG)
Where Do We Stand?
The Millennium Micro For Macro Summit will meet for the first time May 1 and 2, 2008 in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The Summit’s mission is to:
1) Showcase select Millennium Development Goal achievements to date (at the half-way mark) and honor the individuals behind these successes;
2) Boost momentum and provide crucial support and resources to exceptional change-oriented individuals (with proven successes) so the world can reach the 2015 deadline;
3) Focus on how the eight broad-based MDG initiatives can advance beyond 2015, which is only seven years away. What corresponding initiatives are needed to sustain our ascent?
Like the World Economic Forum in Davos, where the world’s most prominent economic decision-makers gather, the Millennium Micro for Macro Summit will become an annual event attracting dynamic, change-driven leaders, organizations and agencies from around the globe. With your help!
This is not about “us” or the Summit or some “leader.” This is about our world, our fellow global citizens. Yes, time is short until we get together – but we don’t have time to wait and action is necessary.
Through international cooperation, community and leverage, we will build a better world. Because of the incredible efforts and energy, and financial support from so many worldwide we hope to capitalize on the momentum and ensure human kind attains the Millennium Goals – and much more! Our efforts will not end with this summit. Our community will expand, grow, learn, teach, revive, fund – a global social network committed to making a difference.
In fulfilling the MDG’s ambitious vision for the future and achieve the goals by 2015, the Summit seeks to maximize your help and support by promoting cooperative development and resources. The world must focus investment directly on partnerships and activities that demonstrate the most substantial gain and opportunity toward the goals’ achievement. We must collectively improve the quality of life for all.
This unprecedented endeavor reaches out to our many friends, partners, strangers and investors throughout the world to help amass resources together and achieve colossal strength and capacity. Together, we will ignite “A New Stronger Vision – Our Potential for the Millennium Development Goals.”
